From this week, everyone who joins the CARE Section of the Fund will receive a package of information, designed to help them get to grips with their pension quickly, and make it much easier to plan for their life after work.

Even if you’ve been a Fund member for years, this information could serve as a useful reminder, so some of the new guides and videos will be available to you to.

The new resources include:

1. A new Welcome Video. It’s an enjoyable, 3-minute, whistle-stop tour of the Fund. We’d highly recommend it for all new members. But if you’re an existing member, we’d encourage you watch the welcome video too. It will remind you of all the features and planning tools that the Fund offers you and get you thinking more about your life after work.

2. A Good to Know Guide. Perfect for new, and existing members, the guide is based on common questions members have and will take you on a journey from the start of your pension, right through to your retirement. You don’t have to read it all at once, simply find the contents listed at the start of each chapter and select the subjects you need.

3. A short, smart Welcome Pack. If you’re a new joiner to the Scheme, you’ll get this in the post. It will give you all the basic information you need, like your Pension Reference Number, the name of your Section and a guide to activating your myFund online account, as well as useful tips to help you make the most of your membership. Keep these packs handy as you’ll find them super-helpful for speedy reference.

If you’re a new joiner to the CARE Section, you can access the Welcome video and Good to Know Guide direct from your dashboard once you’ve activated and logged into your myFund account. Simply follow the link to the ‘Welcome to the Scheme’ page. 

If you’re an existing member you’ll find the Good to Know Guide on the Read as You Need page and the video in the Video Library.
