Pension payments due on 2 January 2026

We can confirm that pensioners who were due to receive a payment on Friday 2 January 2026 should have received it in their bank or building society account on Monday 5 January.

Every bank or building society will process these payments at different speeds, but we can confirm the payments have left Railpen’s accounts to go into yours. If your payment hasn’t shown in your account yet, please check it again later. 

We are sincerely sorry for the delay. We also apologise if you had issues reaching us by telephone on Friday 2 January. We received a very large volume of calls and know that some members were unable to get through to us.
